How It Felt: The morning run felt fucking fantastic! I might have a theory as to why… And Body Pump felt good, like I’m getting stronger!
Commentary: Before I get into my theory, let’s talk about the mi-steak. Friday night my husband and I feasted on sautéed squash and a ribeye. I can only imagine what you must be thinking, this bitch has been talking about eating better, and she goes and shoves a steak in her face?!
I know, I know, not the smartest move, which is why I’m calling it a mi-steak. At the time it was the most glorious thing my mouth had ever experienced. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare, perfectly seasoned, and all I ever wanted in that moment.

Now I’m stuck with the aftermath, which includes the steak. I haven’t shit since. TMI? My tummy looks like I’ve got a bun cooking in the oven, just a little higher than my uterus. I’m left to wonder when my bowels release me of my misery.
Anyway, back to my theory on why today’s run was so amaze-balls. Last night I ate an entire pint of ice cream. This happens more often than it should. Usually because I was too stupid to dish out a reasonable portion and brought the whole pint down. And then the cat sits on my lap, and of course I can’t disturb her.

Think of how many carbs are in that pint of ice cream – 97 grams. And 60 grams of that were sugar. What better fuel is there for the body? Not that I should subsist purely on carbs alone, but that big boost might have helped.
Or I’m trying to justify eating a whole pint of ice cream in one sitting. Perhaps one day I shall test this theory again, but not this week.
In other news, my gas range finally got delivered! And I cooked me up a healthy lunch to take to work tomorrow!
