Easing back in

Ate Well: Yes until dinner, then I ate a whole pizza
Commentary: Not gonna lie, the run yesterday followed by the strength workout kind of kicked my butt. This morning, I felt sluggish during my run even though my pace was a wee better than yesterday. At work, I felt like I might be getting sick. I popped some Zicam and scrounged up some Emergen-C and hoped for the best.
As I was getting ready for bed I looked in the mirror. I looked beat. I felt beat. Was it really worth it to get up at 4am to run five miles? Yes, getting in the miles is important, but so is recovery. Considering how little I’ve ran in the past month I need to take it easy and take care of body. So, I’m going to bed at the normal time and sleeping in.
