I did it!
Date: 4/23/22
Training Day: 139
Miles: 5.1 (treadmill)
Time: 77 min
Shoes: Altra Paradigm 5
How It Felt: Even though I started the run six hours after I ate, the first half felt horrible because I ate like an asshole at lunch. After hopping off the treadmill to visit the toilet, the rest of the run felt better. But my heart rate was pretty high most of the run, probably because of eating like an asshole at lunch. Sigh.

Commentary: I started off my day doing labs for my surveying class with my mentor. All I had was a granola bar before we started. Four hours later I was famished. I was craving Korean, so I checked the Korean food truck Facebook page to see if they were open. They were not. So I decided to go to the pho place downtown that has a delicious tofu Bahn mi. I walked up to the door to find them closed even though their hours showed they should be open. Damn.
Then I remembered my chiropractor talking about a Korean place down the street from his practice. It’s a chain, and it’s not authentic, but I’d heard good things about it, so I went. About halfway through my bowl of rice, noodle, and porky deliciousness I was full. Like an asshole, I kept eating until I had a happy bowl. Big mistake.
I knew it would be a bit before I could run, so I did homework. When I finally decided to run I still felt full, but it was getting late, and I wanted to get my run in. Although the run could have better, I still got it done, and I’m glad I did.
