Poor planning

Training Day: 30
Activity: Strength – hypertrophy

How It Felt: Starting a new block of strength training this week! The workout felt pretty good even though some of the new exercises were a wee challenging (screw you straight-arm plank shoulder touch!).

Commentary: Over the winter break I slept in a lot later than usual, so getting up at 4am today was a bit rough. But I started my day with a meditation, so that was nice.

I had a chiropractor appointment after work, which was good. But it also meant that if I did my run afterwards I wouldn’t get done until after 7pm. The interwebs tells me it is best to finish a workout 90 minutes before bed, which wouldn’t happen if I ran after my appointment. Piss poor planning, lol.

In an effort to take care of myself, I opted to skip my run tonight. My training plan hasn’t started yet, so I don’t feel too bad about it. From now on I will make sure to schedule my appointments on non-doubles days.
