Training Day: 15
Activity: Strength – Foundation
How It Felt: The workout this morning felt hard! Probably because I’m still beat from the Isenguard Ultra and painting all weekend.
Commentary: Saturday night I didn’t sleep the greatest. According to my Garmin, I slept like shit. Last night was a whole different story. Instead of feeling half awake the whole time and fully waking up each time I turned over I slept like a semi-normal person! Now, I didn’t sleep quite as long as I’d have liked, but it’s progress.
Wednesday we’re having a holiday potluck at work. I planned to prep my dish Tuesday night, but I forgot that I signed up for a paint nite. So, as soon as I got home tonight I rushed around the kitchen like an idiot to get the bacon wrapped, goat cheese stuffed dates prepared.
I planned on doing a spin bike ride tomorrow morning and strength training on Wednesday. But I know I’ll be getting home late tomorrow night and won’t want to get up at 4:15am Wednesday morning. So, I’m skipping spin and doing my strength training tomorrow morning.
Although changing plans can be a wee stressful for me, it’s good to go with flow. I really enjoy paint nite, and a couple of friends will be joining me which makes it even better.
