Back at it!

Date: 7/14/21
Training Day: Who knows
Miles: 2.7
Shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 21
Weather: Smokey skies and low 60s

How It Felt: Man, did it feel great to run again! My knee got a wee tight towards the end, but considering I haven’t done ANY physical therapy exercises, I’m okay with that.

Commentary: My running coach has me doing three 30-minute runs a week for the next two weeks to ease me back into running. And with any luck whatsoever, I’ll be ready for my race at the end of August.

I signed up for the marathon, but there’s no way that’s going to happen now. So, I plan to call the race director and see if I can downgrade to a half marathon.

This morning I ran along the canal by my house. The city is in the process of paving a nice path near the canal, so a short stretch of my run was on gravel and the rest was on a smooth asphalt path.
