All the data!!!

Date: 2/16/21
Training Day: 25
Miles: 4 (intervals)
Time: 43 min
Shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 21
Weather: N/A (indoors on a treadmill)
Strength Training: Abs

How It Felt: The run went alright. I was uber bloated while I was running, so I felt quite uncomfortable. This week the intervals felt a wee harder, and I didn’t feel as strong. But my knee didn’t hurt, so who cares! I hate ab workouts, but it went well nonetheless.

Commentary: I have been impatiently waiting for three weeks to get my Garmin Fenix 6S Pro. I also ordered their HRM-Run, which is a heart rate monitor that also gives you “running dynamics metrics.” The watch itself was exciting enough with the plethora of data if provides along with activity tracking, maps and more things I probably haven’t discovered yet. But the running dynamics metrics is by far the coolest thing to happen me.

One of my fears was that I was somehow unbalanced because of my jank right knee. The ground contact time balance made me feel a little better about this. It’s also pretty cool to see how much more I bounce up and down during the fast intervals.

I’ll probably write more about my snazzy new toy when I have more time, but it’s already time for me to get ready for bed.
