Strength Training: Arms
How It Felt: Arm workout was pretty good. The wrist curls made me angry because they’re so hard, lol.
Commentary: It’s probably a good thing I started listening to those podcasts. Today I felt tired. My right knee was acting up on and off throughout the day. Even my left knee was feeling a wee sore. I wanted to run, but I didn’t want to run. So instead of running, I decided to rest. Well, kind of. I did do my arm workout this morning.
I really, really want to a run a 100-miler, and I’m going to do what it takes to get there. I spoke with my doctor today and asked for a referral to a physical therapist. I’ve done all I can think of to keep my knees happy, now it’s time for professional help.
Speaking of professional help, I’m also considering getting an online running coach. At first it seemed ridiculous to spend money on something like that. But then I realized I’m paying for a personal trainer. I’m paying a guy to help me with strength training to help with my running instead of paying a running coach. What the fuck is wrong with me?!
Anyway, I’m hoping I’ll be able to run this weekend, but we’ll see.
