Burrito in my pocket

Date: 2/25/21
Training Day: 34
Miles: 2.3 (strides)
Time: 30 min
Shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 21
Weather: N/A (indoors on a treadmill)
Strength Training: Arms

How It Felt: Definitely didn’t run hard enough during the strides today. It felt like I barely did anything because I did a slow jog between strides. Arms workout was challenging and good!

Commentary: No, the featured image is not a burrito in my pocket. That was a French crueller in my pocket for a hike a month ago.

Anyway.

At 6:55pm last night I went into the kitchen to start making my late dinner. As soon as I got in there our realtor texted me to tell me I could come look at a house. I frantically threw together a breakfast burrito, shoved it in my pocket, and ran out the door.

I didn’t eat the burrito on the way to the house because it was too early. When I workout in the evenings I usually don’t eat until 7:30pm. By the time 7:30pm rolled around I was standing on the sidewalk talking to the realtor. I pulled the burrito out of my pocket and started eating. The realtor didn’t bat an eyelash.

I slept well last night, so I’m thinking maybe it’s not the eating before bed? But I also didn’t eat as much as I usually do after an evening workout. Typically, when I get home I eat nonstop until I realize I need to start getting ready for bed. So, I’m still leaving my eating-before-bed hypothesis out there. I shall test it again tomorrow night.
