Training Day: 114
Miles: 9.6 (long run & intervals)
Time: 1 hr, 38 min
Shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 21
Weather: Sunny, high 60s
How It Felt: In general, runs are feeling freaking awesome these days! It was a wee too warm and sunny for what I’m used to running in, but it still felt great.
Commentary: Getting going today was not easy. I laid in bed for an hour. Mainly because my sweet kitten was sleeping on me. Then I moved to the chaise. As did the cat. So, I was trapped on the chaise for another hour.
Then I sat on the couch with the hubster for an hour. At 10am I started psyching myself up for my run. By 10:30am I was getting my poop in a group for my run.
I ended up getting started at around 11:30am. I should have gotten my shit together earlier because it was already warm. Oh well!
Last night I had some, how shall I say it… Bowel problems. This morning I had the same problem. And a little over halfway through my run I thought the same problem was about to hit me.
I had no idea where the toilets were in the park, but I spotted a porta potty in a small construction site nearby. I scurried over to it and plopped down.
All I did was sweat my ass off in a rundown porta potty. The rest of the run went well, and I stretched next to the river.
