Christina Appleby

Hi. My name is Christina. It’s nice to meet you.

Even though she’s not comfortable with it, Christina knows these “About” things are supposed to be written in third person. So here she goes…

Christina grew up in Northern California, the real Northern California, in a small town, nestled in the mountains, called Shingletown. She joined the Navy right out of high school and served for 11 years. After separating she did a little bit of this and a little bit of that for eight years, attempting to figure out what she wanted out of life.

After working a high-paying job that made her miserable, Christina decided to change careers. She took a huge pay cut, got an internship with National Park Service, and moved into a van with her awesome, supportive husband. Although she still isn’t sure what she wants out of life, she knows more about what she doesn’t want, which is just as important.

Christina also has a big goal–to run a 100-miler some day. Aside from running, she also enjoys hiking, backpacking, fishing, and reading. She is currently working on an MNR in Natural Resources at University of Idaho.

If you want to go for a run or just drop a line, she’d love to hear from you!
